By the time you turn the key in your ignition, wouldn't you love to have your mind solely on your personal life? It's easier to do than you think. Your job is just your job, your life is something else, something larger and more important.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm a clinical hypnotist, and helping people like you learn how to leave work at work is one of the most under-requested trump in my deck. Folks tend to think that professionals like me only help with smoking and weight loss. Nonsense. I've helped many people to better manage their lives by learning to leave work at work. Some of them come to see me in person, others use the telephone. Hypnosis works fine by phone; after all, it's what the hypnotist says to you that counts.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So what kind of things do I say to help you leave work at work? Here are a few of the basics, although the words will always be tailored to your specific circumstances.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;.They do not own you.&lt;br /&gt;.They only rent you.&lt;br /&gt;.Your job is worth doing and worth doing well.&lt;br /&gt;.Give yourself permission to leave work at work.&lt;br /&gt;.Leaving work at work will help you to do better.&lt;br /&gt;.See yourself clocking out at the end of the day, and the stress begins to lift.&lt;br /&gt;.You walk out the door, and more stress lifts off and floats away.&lt;br /&gt;.Each step you take lifts off more and more stress.&lt;br /&gt;.Seeing your car in the parking lot lifts off stress.&lt;br /&gt;.Touching the door handle lets go of the last of the stress.&lt;br /&gt;.Once you are inside your car, your time is now your own.&lt;br /&gt;.Buckle up your seat belt, your time is now completely your own.&lt;br /&gt;.Turn the key in the ignition, and you are fully on your own time.&lt;br /&gt;.As you drive away, you feel calm, wonderful, relaxed, with your mind on your personal life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And that's just for starters. Are you in high pressure sales? After awhile, hearing the word NO may become an emotional issue for you. After all, you may hear that word many times in the course of a workday. And the fact is that some prospects do not happen to need your product or service at this time because, well, they simply don't. It's nothing personal. On one level, you know that it isn't personal. Ah, but as time goes by, your skin thins, and you start taking it personally, and that hurts. It needn't hurt, my friend, not ever again. Taking the word NO personally is another thing easily fixed with hypnosis.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You may need some reframing of how you look at the people you work for. The people who put pressure on you at work are paid to do exactly that. It's not personal. If someone else were in your job, that someone would be pressured just like you are by the same bosses! Your coworkers are all similarly pressured, whether you observe it happening or not. It's not personal. In fact, I'll bet your employers like you a lot, or you'd have already been written up and fired. All that pressure they put on you is simple routine management policy. In trance, you can easily reframe how you see the people you work for. They're flawed human beings, just like you, just doing their job. And you'll find it easier to bear up under all that pressure. You can shrug it off and get back to work without seething. And this means your results will improve.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Here's an item that comes up time and again: Are some of your coworkers vicious, negative people? I'll bet they are. How would you like to be able to work around them without being affected by their negativity? You can't change them, but you can sure stop letting them get to you. Just because they hate their job doesn't give them the right to make you feel hateful, too. Just because they complain and moan constantly doesn't mean that you have to commiserate. It's easier to be happy around negative people than you think. After all, it isn't personal, is it? Those nasty coworks complain to everyone, right? They may be pushing your buttons today, but tomorrow that button can be gone. That's right, gone. And thereby unpushable. And hypnosis works great for making the change happen.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And as a bonus, you will visualize your Ceiling of Excellence to see where yours is set. Is it set too low? Do you need to set higher standards for yourself? Or perhaps yours is set too high, up in the impossible heights of perfectionism. Nothing is more stressful than perfectionism, and no one is more stressed than a perfectionist. Humans are flawed. There is no perfect job, no perfect relationship, no perfect home life, no perfect...well, you get the idea. Once your own Ceiling of Excellence is properly adjusted, your stress levels immediately improve. I even use this technique with golfers and other sportspeople to improve their scores. Works great.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just think of all the benefits you'll receive from leaving work at work. You'll feel better, sleep better, laugh more, and be more creative in your problem solving. I’ll go over a few different things you can do to get along better with the people you work with, which will in turn make you more productive and help you to generally be happier at work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are many reasons why people might not get along with their co-workers. The first thing you should try and do if you feel yourself becoming annoyed or angry at work is to try and increase your tolerance. Everyone is different, and has different tastes and characteristics, so the more welcoming we can be to these differences, the easier and smoother the workday will become. Many times, tolerance can be as simple as walking away from a particular situation that you may find yourself in, or starting a different project that takes you away from what’s bothering you. Remember, that just because someone is different than you, it doesn’t mean they are necessarily right or wrong.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another situation that can be very frustrating is cliques. This seems to be a very prominent source of social interaction that can be found everywhere from elementary school, to the workplace and even in family groups. Cliques are networks that focus on a process of inclusion and exclusion, and while they are natural part of human interaction, they don’t necessarily belong in the workplace. Cliques should be avoided if possible at work as they often breed feelings of resentment and jealousy, and can cause unnecessary conflicts among co-workers.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Keeping your personal life separate and apart from your work environment will also help a lot. Unfortunately, office gossip is very common just about everywhere, and confiding something with someone at work can often turn into everyone in the building hearing something about you, that you may want to keep private. It’s best to keep personal matters out of the workplace, and if you’d like to talk to someone about something, try and do it after work with friends and family. Of course it is certainly ok to have co-workers who are also friends or acquaintances, but it is best to deal with your personal relationships after work. This can also help you to avoid the cliques I mentioned earlier.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Even though you may try hard to avoid it, it is inevitable that at some point you may be involved in office gossip. The best thing to do in this situation is to just avoid it. However, if it is persistent, and causes you to feel uncomfortable at work, bring it up to a manager and they should be able to put an end to it. This is important to remember for many situations. It is always best to first ask yourself what you can do to make the situation better, but if you are having constant problems, are experiencing any form of discrimination or harassment, or are the victim of any crimes, or feel that you are in an uncomfortable work environment, you should immediately speak with a manager and have them help you resolve the problem.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Theft in the workplace also seems to be becoming more and more prevalent. It is never ok to steal from people, no matter if it is money, personal belongings or company office supplies. If you are the victim of theft in the workplace, or witness it happening, tell a manager right away. It is their job to deal with that, and you don’t want to put yourself in a potentially dangerous position.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Remember that it is not only important to feel comfortable in the workplace but it is also your right. It is very important to remember that it starts with yourself, and that you have the most control over your overall comfort level at work. Content Composer is one of these. I learned how to use it after purchasing it around April of 2008. There is a bit of a learning curve on it, but nothing the average person can't handle. The reason for this is they give you a lot of videos that teach you everything you need to know to use it. What this stand alone software program does is allow you to take one article and generate anywhere from 2 to 50 or so unique articles from this one article. The difference between this and other content manipulators on the market is that this program actually works just like it says it does.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I can tell you this from experience. What I did for about 2 months straight in the summer of 2008 is took articles on either Business Opportunities or Travel Programs run through clickbank, wrote an article on them and used Content Composer to "spin" 25 or so variations of this article. Then I took each of these unique articles and submitted one unique version to each article directory. After doing this, I received about $1500 in affiliate sales over the 6 month period I did this.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another way I use Content Composer is to create variations of manufacturers descriptions on certain products we sell. For example our Internet Retail Poker Site is called Poker Stars Direct. We offer almost 1500 products on this site. Sometimes certain areas of this store will have the same exact description spanning 30 of our products.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;With just an hour or so invested, I can transform this description into 30 unique variations which google appreciates after I upload these and replace the stock descriptions with these unique variations. The cost of the software is about $300 and they give you free updates for life. Just this one job if outsourced 30 descriptions would cost me about $150.00 to redo with a free lancer, so I can tell you first hand if you are in the blogging and content game like we are this is a great took for your arsenal.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And Content Composer delivers on these updates, as I've already downloaded 3 of them to date. It was released by Jason Potash who is all about white hat content. There really are the good guys and the bad guys in this industry and I can vouch for the fact that Jason Potash is one of the good guys. I truly believe in the theory of the tortoise and the hair and that slow and steady wins the race. This program will allow you to make slow, steady incremental changes to your websites and get them up to the unique content levels that google will come to respect and give you better overall traffic and page rankings. And in my opinion this software is mandatory if you are creating an authority site.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Content Composer is a very nichey product and isn't for someone who thinks they're gonna make 30k monthly within 30 days. There are bonafide techniques to do this, but this isn't one of them. This is the kind of tool that will build stability and back links and increase the overall content volume of your Virtual Real Estate Empire. I can't recommend it more highly. Our Internet Retail Poker site got released out of the sandbox once we started replacing lots of the manufacturers descriptions with unique content, so this tool has real long term value.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;If you're looking to win the war this tool can't be recommended more highly. I even use it to count the words of my articles before I post them and I can even paste my articles in and see where else they are showing up on the Internet without using Google Alerts. It is based on several false premises. First is the premise that at a certain age you are no longer able to provide economic value. That is clearly nonsense as shown by the many millionaire entrepreneurs and business people in the sixties, seventies and eighties. Yes, we generally get weaker and lose some abilities as we age. But there are seventy-five year-old retirees playing tennis out there, and anyone who can still think and move two fingers can do what I’m doing for a living.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Another false premise is the whole “golden years” idea. First of all, why wouldn’t we want to enjoy life at every stage? Secondly, isn’t this idea of finally relaxing and no longer working based on the assumption that we all have to work at jobs we hate all of our lives - jobs we need to someday escape? Maybe instead of concentrating on saving enough to quit it all, we should spend more time earlier in life choosing the right work.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I don’t actually have many new ideas about retirement, because it just isn’t a meaningful nor necessary concept. But there are parts of it that make sense. Two in particular come to mind, and both should be addressed without regard to retirement or age.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;First, it makes sense to be prepared for a time when you cannot work. Saving and investing part of one’s income accomplishes this, but there is no need to call it a retirement account. After all, you might be in a devastating car wreck at 29 years old, or you might be healthy and making a good living at 89. Age is certainly not the only determinant of when you might need a non-job income to live on.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;In fact, the idea of retirement lulls people into the assumption that it is only in old age that we require or benefit from this kind of “survival preparation.” It might make more sense to have a plan for the loss of job or self-employment income at any age. At the present time there are millions of people in this country who are unemployed, and I’ll bet that many of them wish they had made some preparations for that.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The second thing that makes sense about retirement is the idea of having the time to do what you want. Even if you have a job you love, it could be useful to have the time to pursue other interests or to explore other aspects of life. You might want to travel the world, for example, or help build a hospital in another country. A source of income that doesn’t require you to work makes for a lot of freedom and creative possibilities.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of course the concept of retirement isn’t necessary at all for this. In my own case, I often took “mini retirements” from jobs to travel or write or pursue other interests. All I had to do to make this possible was to save money and keep expenses low. There are ways to do this throughout life, and it really doesn’t make any sense to put off some things until you are old. Climbing mountains (one of my interests), for example, is safer and perhaps more enjoyable when younger.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The concept of retirement may very well bankrupt our country, given the impossible demands that are coming on the social security and medicare programs. It doesn’t make any sense to remove the productive capacity of a person from our economy and suck off the production of others to make it possible for that person to play bingo and watch television for years. It’s bad for the recipient (those who retire die much quicker on average), and is a double hit on the economy. Furthermore, Social Security never has been a retirement fund since nothing has ever been invested. It is welfare, so it makes sense to limit it to those who need it.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Let’s just eliminate the idea of retirement. Let’s help those who need help - old or not, prepare for times when work isn’t possible - which can come at any age, and make space for “creative time” throughout life.
